One of the students that Avi taught has sent an email saying that Bulgarians are very friendly towards strangers but may not be very curteous towards each other.

Hence the Balkanization.

Enjoyed the Bulgaria series. I had a colleague, M. Trukova from Bulgaria. She learnt English after coming to the US. Very friendly and charming people they must be. Balkanization hehe
